Sometimes it's not the job search or landing the job that's an issue. Our newsletter mentions what type of research you may want to conduct prior to working with an establishment. It would be ashame to land a job just to find out there's adverse information about the employer or circumstances. Do your research! See our Military Transition Newsletter Blog for more information.

Hurricane Posts:

We sincerely hope that our Hurricane Posts assisted our viewers. Many neighborhoods were devasted and the survivors have had many losses. We pray that all will be kept from future harm.

Veterans In Motion - Product Review for Future Entrepreneurs

Hi Comrades,

There are a slew of products in the Internet world. I couldn't tell you how many things I've purchased to learn Blogging, RSS, and search engine optimization (and more). Well, let's just say I've learned a heck of a lot over the last year. Eight months ago, I probably would have thought a Podcast was a new type of cast for a broken ankle or foot. LOL I do have to laugh at that one myself.

Since I'm still researching products for our military and veterans, I'd like to report my findings on what I received today. We have an "Entrepreneurial Theme" in our newsletter this week and also here on this blog. So my focus will be on informational products and free informational web sites. I'll periodically post career fair websites for the comrades who will prefer to seek employment at this time. Either way, I'd like to get information to all of you. Back to our theme.

Today I received something that I ordered online and I wish I had looked more into it sooner. Finally, I've found something that can teach me about this thing called the Internet in easy to read terms.

I'm sure many of you heard of Corey Rudl. He was the young millionaire that had a very unfortunate wreck on a race track here in Southern California. He was so young and definitely one of the most successful Internet Instructor/Coach we've had. Well, what I ordered came from his company. Just to give you an example, the material I received today gave me an insight on VBlogs (video blogs). I didn't have a clue what those were called. :o)

I couldn't wait to tear the cellophane off of the three DVDs and look at the three CDs on my computer. I even peeked at what was inside the two binders. Wow, talking about information! In case some of you would like to see what I saw take a look at what I ordered below. Best wishes and I sincerely hope this can help those of you of you who are looking into all of your options.

All of you have worked hard for some else and some of you may want to work for yourself instead. Good Luck!

Hurricane Katrina Blogs

The more we see information on Hurricane Katrina, the more most of us Bloggers want to get the information out to our respective audiences. This blog is dedicated to a human life change which is normally called a military transition. The Katrina survivors are also experiencing a transition. Many lives (579+) have been lost right on our own soil.

The reason why the Katrina stories are so vital on this blog is because most of the people I met in the military were from the south (Not all, a great deal) and there were many military veterans living in the area. We're reading about their families and also about our fellow veterans who lived in the devastated communities.

There's a very successful internet marketing businessman who I admire highly also covering the hurricane aftermath. Visit Willie Crawford's Hurricane Katrina Blog. Pay special note to the September 19, 2005 post regarding the food that will be burned and not delivered to the Katrina survivors. The United Kingdom had aid available for the Katrina survivors and due to red tape, the food will be destroyed. There's really a huge problem here and I hope whoever is responsible is held accountable. Not only are Americans starving and not receiving aid, the toes of the people who were willing to help have been stepped on.

Willie Crawford's Hurricane Katrina Blog
See all of his past Hurricane Blogs. What great coverage.

Please look at the previous posts for the Hurricane Aid available for active duty military and military veterans. Be safe comrades (at home or abroad).

We are all so grateful that no one was hurt at Keesler AFB, MS during Hurricane Katrina. The base is devasted and extremely damaged. Washington, DC 20006
http://www.redcross.org/

Contact: DISASTER PUBLIC AFFAIRS
Title: For Media Calls Only

WASHINGTON, Tuesday, August 30, 2005 — We know thousands of Americans are worried about their loved ones in the aftermath of devastating Hurricane Katrina. With widespread power and communications outages and roads under water, it’s important to go back to communication basics to ensure that your family and friends know you are safe:

  • Call an out of town contact to let them know you are safe.
  • Ask them to spread the word to your family and friends.
  • Make sure your contact lives far enough away that they are not affected by the same storm.
  • Rest assured that emergency responders are working as quickly as possible and are doing all that they can to help those affected.
  • Remember that storms mean power outages and downed phone lines. Please keep trying and be patient.
  • Phone lines are often overwhelmed after a disaster. Try sending an email if you can—sometimes email works when phones don’t.
