It really saddens me to see so many military installations closing. Our military has really taken a beating the last few years.

The one thing that many people may not realize, most of the civilians who are losing their jobs, on the military installations are ex-military. It's a known fact in the military community that most GS/WG Civilian Employees are either a military veteran, a military spouse, or a military retiree.
